Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Website: https://beyubybb.com. Operated by Beyü by BB (“Beyü,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Beyü is committed to making our website, online shop, journal, and free Beyü Assessment usable and accessible to everyone. Women with visual, hearing, cognitive, and motor disabilities are an important part of the community we serve, including women navigating peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause.

We are working to identify and remove accessibility barriers and to improve the experience over time. Accessibility is an ongoing effort: some parts of the website, particularly features provided by third parties, may not yet be fully accessible.

Accessibility standard and current status

We are targeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. WCAG is an international standard for making web content more accessible.

Current conformance level: partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, based on internal self-assessment. Conformance has not been verified by a third-party audit; known gaps remain and are described below. A full third-party audit is planned.

Last accessibility assessment: internal self-assessment completed in October 2026, covering the core shopping, checkout, Assessment, and policy pages. The review addressed semantic headings and landmarks, labelled form controls, keyboard operability, visible focus indicators, and announced progress in the Assessment.

Next planned assessment: a third-party accessibility audit is planned for the first quarter of 2027.

A target standard is not a representation that every page or feature currently conforms. We will update this statement as assessments are completed and improvements are made.

Accessibility measures

As part of our ongoing accessibility work, we are reviewing and addressing the following areas. For each item, we will confirm and update its implementation status:

  • Semantic structure: use of semantic HTML, meaningful headings, and page landmarks to help people understand and navigate content.
  • Keyboard access: ability to navigate and operate website features using a keyboard, without requiring a mouse.
  • Visible focus: clear focus indicators so keyboard users can identify the element they are interacting with.
  • Images and media: descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and captions or other accessible alternatives for video and audio content, where appropriate.
  • Colour and contrast: sufficient contrast between text, controls, and backgrounds.
  • Text resizing: support for resizing text and zooming without loss of essential information or functionality.
  • Forms: programmatically associated labels, clear instructions, and accessible error identification and messages.
  • Motion: support for reduced-motion preferences where motion is not essential.
  • Shopping and checkout: review of product selection, cart, and checkout steps for keyboard and assistive-technology accessibility.
  • Third-party widgets: review of embedded or externally provided tools for accessibility and available alternatives.

Implementation status and notes: semantic structure, labelled form controls, visible focus indicators, and alt text for meaningful images are implemented across the Site, and the Assessment presents questions as keyboard-operable radio and checkbox inputs with announced step progress. A full colour-contrast audit, screen-reader testing, and a review of every interactive component for reduced-motion support are in progress. The shopping and checkout flow review is planned alongside the third-party audit.

Known limitations and remediation

Some parts of the website may rely on third-party services or content that Beyü does not fully control. These may include:

  • Payment processor or checkout features: under review.
  • Reviews widget: the Site does not currently use a third-party reviews widget; reviews are displayed as plain text when published.
  • Social media feeds or embeds: the Site links to social platforms rather than embedding third-party feeds, so no embedded feed is served.
  • Video players or other media embeds: the Site does not currently use video or third-party media embeds.
  • E-commerce platform powering the store: Base44. We are not aware of documented platform-level accessibility limitations at this time and will review and report on platform accessibility as part of the planned audit.

Where we identify a barrier, we will assess its impact, pursue an available fix or reasonable alternative, and work with the relevant provider where needed. Our current remediation priorities and target dates are: assessment and prioritisation in progress; target dates to be added after review.

Compatibility and testing

We intend to assess the website using current versions of the following browsers, assistive technologies, and accessibility features: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge; VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android; NVDA and JAWS screen readers; screen magnification and browser zoom up to 200%.

Testing completed and date: no formal assistive-technology testing has been completed yet. The combinations listed above are the intended test set for the planned third-party audit, and we will publish verified results and dates after it is completed.

Accessibility may vary depending on a person's device, browser, settings, and the third-party services in use. Please contact us if you encounter a problem, even if your particular setup is not listed above.

Beyü Assessment

The free Beyü Assessment is intended to help users explore personalised product recommendations. Its questions are presented as text and can be read aloud using screen readers or supported device or browser read-aloud features. We are working to ensure the Assessment can be completed using a keyboard and screen reader, including navigating questions, selecting answers, and understanding any instructions or error messages.

If the Assessment is not accessible to you, or you would prefer assistance, contact us at hello@beyubybb.com (email only; we do not offer phone support) to request a personalised recommendation through an alternative channel. This inbox is monitored on business days.

Feedback, assistance, and alternate formats

If you have difficulty using any part of our website, need assistance with a purchase or the Beyü Assessment, or would like information in an alternate format, please contact us:

Accessibility contact: hello@beyubybb.com (email only; we do not offer phone support).

Please tell us which page or feature you were using, what happened, and what device or assistive technology you use, if you are comfortable sharing that information. You do not need to provide medical information to report an accessibility issue.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within 5 business days and provide a substantive response or an update within 5 business days. We will make reasonable efforts to provide information in an alternate format or help you access the information or service you need.

We will not discriminate against, penalise, or treat anyone adversely for raising an accessibility concern or requesting assistance.

Escalation and legal rights

If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may reply to your original message and ask for the matter to be reviewed by our Operations lead. We aim to complete an escalation review within 10 business days and will explain any delay.

Depending on your location and the circumstances, laws concerning disability access may apply to our website and services. These may include Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the United States, the European Accessibility Act and its national implementing laws where applicable in the European Union, and the Equality Act 2010 in the United Kingdom. Applicability and available remedies depend on the relevant law and facts. You may also contact the relevant enforcement body or seek independent advice in your jurisdiction. This statement does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.

Review, training, and responsibility

We will review accessibility as part of ongoing website maintenance and when material changes are made to the website, shop, or Assessment.

Accessibility review frequency: annually and after significant website changes.

Staff training: training plan in development.

Accessibility owner or champion: Operations lead, reachable at hello@beyubybb.com.

Platform and supplier review: when selecting or reviewing our e-commerce platform and third-party services, we consider the provider's published accessibility information, request accessibility details during evaluation, and review the resulting experience for barriers, feeding findings into our remediation priorities.

We will review this statement at least annually and update it when our accessibility status, website features, or remediation plans change.
